Secret is out! Melisa Chilimanzi joins Season 7 of the Great Australian Bake Off!

Sawubona (Hello!), Big news alert! I am thrilled to share with you all that I am a contestant on Season 7 of The Great Australian Bake Off!

I can't even begin to tell you how all this feels, it's a dream come true. Making it to the final 12 is a win for us all - I am a community taught baker so a huge thank you to all the friends, family, and internet besties who create content for me to learn from.

I use the term 'community-taught' because it aligns with my core value of Ubuntu. Born in Zimbabwe, ubuntu is a concept that transcends borders and unites us with the phrase, "I am because we are". It would be remiss to say I got here on my own and I am definitely counting on your support to make it past Episode 1!

The best part about making it into camp was meeting these 11 beautiful souls to experience this adventure with. Meet my new baking squad and hands down the best community a girl can ask for as I walk into the shed. Here we go!
